Meet Michelle

4 Team

Hi there, I'm Michelle, Chef and Cooking Class Instructor

Michelle O’Hara leads the cooking program, supporting participants to build confidence and independence through practical, hands-on learning.

With more than 25 years of experience as a chef, Michelle brings a depth of knowledge and a genuine passion for food into every session. Her approach is grounded in patience, encouragement and creating a positive environment where participants feel comfortable to learn and try new things.

Each day, Michelle works alongside participants to develop skills that extend beyond the kitchen. From planning meals to preparing and sharing food, her sessions focus on building independence, confidence and a sense of pride in what participants create.

One of the most rewarding parts of her role is seeing participants grow over time. Whether it is trying something new, improving a skill or sharing a meal with family and friends, Michelle values the moments where confidence shines through.

Describing herself as thoughtful, kind and funny, Michelle brings warmth and energy to the kitchen.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking hearty meals like soups and pasta, spending time outdoors camping or walking, and being with family and friends.

If she could have a superpower, Michelle says it would be the ability to bring people together, resolve conflict and work towards a more peaceful and connected world.
