Hi there, I'm Sue, Day Options Coordinator and Support Worker

Sue has been part of Kangaroo Disability Services since 2022 and plays a key role in coordinating the Day Options program while also supporting participants directly. With more than a decade of experience in the disability sector, she brings strong practical knowledge, leadership and a genuine passion for helping people achieve their goals.

In her role, Sue helps plan and coordinate day programs while working closely with participants and support staff to ensure each day runs smoothly. Her work involves problem-solving, mentoring team members and supporting participants to build skills, confidence and independence through meaningful activities.

Sue describes herself as dedicated, collaborative and responsive. She enjoys working with people from all backgrounds and is known for building positive relationships with both participants and colleagues. Her ability to communicate openly and connect with people quickly helps create a welcoming and supportive environment.

Outside of work, Sue enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys watching films such as Taare Zameen Par, the LEGO Show and reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. Her love of conversation is something she jokingly describes as her “superpower”, and it is one of the reasons participants and colleagues enjoy working with her.

Sue is passionate about creating positive experiences for participants and supporting them to take part in activities that help them grow, connect and enjoy everyday life.
