Hi there, I'm Manish the Founder and CEO

Manish founded Kangaroo Disability Services in September 2021 with a clear belief that people living with disability should be supported to live full, meaningful lives with dignity, choice and independence.

His vision for KDS was shaped by more than a decade of frontline experience as a disability support worker, where he saw firsthand the difference that respectful, person-centred support can make.

With qualifications in disability studies, community welfare and business, Manish combines practical sector experience with strong leadership and operational insight. Under his leadership, Kangaroo Disability Services has grown into a trusted provider focused on genuine relationships, high-quality support and programs that help participants build confidence and everyday life skills.

A typical day for Manish involves staying closely connected with the people KDS supports. He regularly speaks directly with participants and families, answering questions, listening to feedback and making sure everyone feels heard. He also works closely with the operations, community participation and Supported Independent Living teams to ensure services run smoothly and everyone is aligned in delivering the best possible support.

For Manish, the most rewarding moments often come unexpectedly. Hearing from families or community members that the KDS team has made a difference, or being greeted with a hug and a big smile from a participant during a visit, are the moments that remind him why the work matters.

Outside of work, Manish enjoys spending time with his six-year-old son, listening to his wife share stories about her day and playing cricket for the Hope Valley Cricket Club. His favourite comfort food is bhindi cooked by his wife, a dish that reminds him of meals once made by his mum.

If he could have any superpower, Manish says it would be the ability to ensure no child goes hungry and to protect animals and the natural world. Those values of care, responsibility and kindness continue to shape the way he leads Kangaroo Disability Services today.
