Enjoy our sessions in a safe, state-of-the-art commercial kitchen that is fully accessible.
👉 Cost:
$330-$350 approx. (NDIS funded – no out-of-pocket costs with Capacity Building funding).
👩🍳 The classes are led by Chef Michelle O’Hara, a seasoned chef with three decades of experience.
What To Expect?
The Cooking Classes offer a comprehensive 12-week culinary journey. Each class begins with pick-up at 9 AM and concludes with drop-off at 3 PM. Participants will engage in a variety of activities including shopping for ingredients, which also incorporates basic budgeting skills. In each session, participants will prepare two dishes—one savory and one sweet—while honing their teamwork, time management, and kitchen safety skills.
The program culminates in a special event where participants will showcase their newfound abilities by preparing and serving a three-course meal to family, friends, and special guests. Additionally, each participant will receive a Certificate of Attendance and their very own Kangaroo Disability Services Chef hat.
