Kangaroo Disability Services is thrilled to announce the launch of our Arts & Crafts Day Options Classes. These classes are designed to provide a creative outlet and skill-building opportunity for individuals aged 17 and above.
🗓️ When:
Every Tuesday, beginning on 6th August, 2024
📍 Where:
St. Martin’s Anglican Church, Cnr Gorge & Lower North East Rd, Campbelltown, SA 5074.
👉 Schedule:
- 9:00 am: Pick up from designated locations
- 10:00 am: Class begins
- 12:00 pm: Lunch break (participants to bring their own lunch)
- 1:00 pm: Class resumes
- 2:30 pm: Class concludes
- 2:30 pm – 3:00 pm: Pack up
- 3:00 pm – 3:30 pm: Drop-off at designated locations
What To Expect?
Each week will bring a new adventure in arts and crafts, with activities including:
Mandala Art: Explore intricate patterns and create beautiful, symmetrical designs. This activity offers a calming and meditative experience while enhancing your artistic skills.
Mosaic Art: Learn the ancient art of assembling small pieces of colored glass, stone, or other materials to create stunning images or patterns. Develop your understanding of color theory and spatial arrangement.
Lippan Art: Discover the traditional Indian Lippan art from the Kutch region, creating beautiful art on canvas. Experiment with texture, reflection, and cultural motifs.
Bottle Craft: Transform ordinary bottles into extraordinary works of art using techniques like painting, decoupage, and embellishments. Turn simple objects into charming decorative items.
Pot Art: Design and decorate pottery with various painting, glazing, and decorating techniques. Create unique and personalised items, from functional items to decorative sculptures.
Participants in our arts and crafts classes not only get to showcase their creations in a gallery once every 12 weeks but are also invited to our cooking program graduation event, where our cooking program participants will prepare and serve a three-course meal.
